Vail, popular with the rich and famous, charges prices need to match their expectations of the best skiing and entertainment around in the most wonderful setting. The glitz and bars are of a high standard and many a Texan in a high Stetson hat can be seen skiing down the slopes and into their favourite bar. Although it is proud of its razzmatazz reputation it is easy going compared to other swanky resorts such as Aspen. Vail is many skiers favourite mountain in the state. There are huge and wide open back bowls which intermediate and experienced skiers like, especially when it is powdery day.
