Northstar. Overview.
Northstar at Tahoe is a popular North shore ski area six miles north of Lake Tahoe near Truckee. It is about an hour’s drive from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
Like Heavenly it caters for most experiences and abilities. The resort is organised around four ski areas which are, Mount Pluto, the Northwest Territory, The Backside and The Lookout Mountain. It has different types of snowboarding parks with jumps,hips, rails and boxes and a 400-ft superpipe. Join a ski school to crack your skills if you are a beginner or more experienced. They are great fun and you can also learn to ice skate in the village! Ski schools are a great way to make new friends too. You might even end up on the 25 mile cross-country ski and snowshoe trail system. The children might like the tubing and adventure system parks especially built for their age.
